In
addition to my work in the area of curriculum development, I also
conduct research on various issues pertaining to the teaching and
learning of mathematics. Although I have numerous anecdotes and
positive experiences using the Rekenrek with young children, anecdotes
are not enough! I have begun to investigate in a more formal way
the impact of the Rekenrek on student learning and proficiency.
This page will be updated as research findings emerge and cases
studies of teachers' successes with the Rekenrek are developed during
the 2008-09 school year.
